The film "Babe" was filmed in Robertson, New South Wales (the town with the famous meat pies), just a few minutes from Mum & Dad's house in the beautiful Southern Highlands. I saw the derelict movie set in a paddock the first time I visited Australia, but it's been torn down now. But, back in Utah for two weeks, we were looking for things to keep us occupied* and heard that the world's largest sheepdog trials -- the sheepdog championships -- was taking place in Soldier Hollow. Hey, we like dogs... and semi-weird events involving people devoting their lives to mastering skills completely out of our own milieu. It cost a fortune and wasn't very interesting -- none of the animals were soulful pigs! -- but now we can say we've cheered when the gate clicked behind the sheep. One more life experience, I suppose, and not much else.
*Turns out, more than anything, the girls just want to play all day, every day in Bob's backyard. Well, it is a terrific backyard.
Were there any mice singing "Blue Moon?"
