The Tower of London

C and E wait for the student group so we can go to the Tower of London.  Tower Bridge in the background.

E looks appropriately somber in one of the hallways of the Tower of London.

What's the collective noun for Beefeaters?  A "butchery" of Beefeaters, perhaps.

This is the spot were several of the Tower executions took place, including a significant one whose name is at the bottom.

In the Tower gift shop, a doll with local relevance.

And something resembling another Rapunzel Tower.

On the walk back to the Tube station we passed a remnant of London's old Roman wall--hence the statue of a Roman Emperor (Trajan) at  the bottom.

  1. We thoroughly enjoyed the Tower of London too...however, we were disappointed when the Beefeater who was our guide, decided to cease the tour because it started to sprinkle rain!!!! We had to question if we were really in England amongst Londoners???
